Bringing simplicity to the wine-opening ritual
The UNO VINO Electric Wine Opener was designed to make opening a bottle of wine effortless while preserving the elegance of the experience. The objective was to create a product that feels equally at home on a dining table as it does in a modern kitchen, combining intuitive operation with a refined and timeless appearance.
The design focuses on clarity and ease of use. A simple vertical form, intuitive controls and a transparent lower housing allow users to follow the cork extraction process while keeping the interaction natural and reassuring. Stainless steel, soft-touch surfaces and translucent components create a balanced composition that communicates quality without unnecessary complexity.
Beyond its visual appearance, the project centred on ergonomics, proportion and user interaction. Every detail, from the comfortable grip to the placement of the controls, was carefully considered to ensure that the product feels intuitive from the very first use.
Recognised with the GOOD DESIGN Award 2020, UNO VINO demonstrates how contemporary industrial design can transform a familiar everyday task into a seamless and enjoyable experience.
