Designed around the manufacturing process
The Forged Off-Road Foot Pegs were developed to rethink one of the most critical rider contact points by combining industrial design with the capabilities of hot forging technology.
The project began with a clear objective: replace the existing CNC-machined foot pegs with a forged solution while preserving the larger standing platform and lowered position that improve rider control and comfort during off-road riding. Rather than simply adapting the existing design, the transition to forging became an opportunity to create an entirely new product language and unlock the full potential of the manufacturing process.
Extensive concept development explored different structural layouts, weight distribution and visual identities before arriving at a design that balances strength, functionality and a distinctive appearance. Every surface and transition was shaped to suit the forging process while reducing unnecessary machining and creating a product that expresses durability through its form.
The development included concept sketches, CAD modelling, rapid prototyping and functional testing on motorcycles before the final production design was completed. The result is a stronger, more efficient and visually distinctive component that reinforces the premium positioning of the RADE/GARAGE brand.
